Nice shots, Dar. Old Dave looks as if he has just come down from the mountains, to make a little music and maybe buy a few provisions before heading back to a Hatfield & McCoy kind of existence. Was he selling moonshine as well as CDs?
Yes he does look like a mountain man moonshiner :) Very cool images that show the hint of movement . Not sharp , and the last one very cool . Grainy , and like him living on the fringes, kind of otherworldly :) I like :)
Thanks Deb. :) My camera doesn't do the greatest at night. Most of the photos I get are grainy and underexposed. There was something about the last shot I liked so I played with it, upped the exposure, heightened the definition, and then, took it to Photoshop to play around with it. I don't remember all of the subtleties I performed on it there, but the main one was applying the rough pastel filter. The file I have on my computer is sharper, and shows the gesture marks better. Still, I like the effect I got, and get with my camera. It seems gritty and urban to me.

Great pix! I really like the effect on the last one.
ReplyDeleteThank You!. The last shot wasn't very good as a photo, so I had fun with it in Elements. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Mike. :) ... Nope, no moonshine for sale, but I still think he's a hermit of sorts, the urban type.

DeleteThere is a night setting on a Nikon camera, I haven't tried it yet, but it might be better.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mom. :) I use my own setting so much now I forget about the presets. I'll try to remember them the next time I take my camera it at night.
DeleteHow do I change my picture on my comment ?
